Goals are the essential thing in soccer. Your team need goal in order to win a match. But some time for soccer beginner, a proper shooting is hard to achieve as they don’t know how to kick the ball hard. Here I have some guides regarding soccer shooting drills.
1. Strong Foot But Flexible
In order to shoot the ball hard, you must have strong foot. Strong foot can produce more power. How to train this? Squat jump can make your foot and calf to be stronger. It also can build your calf and thigh muscle. This will be very visible if you previously had never done the exercise, then the size of your calves and thighs will look bigger and stronger. And what do you mean about flexible foot Nicko? OK, I can illustrate it in the video below, so watch it.
I illustrate your foot with a ruler and the ball with a paper ball. The first ruler is flexible but it is not a strong ruler, then what happen with the paper ball? It moves but not far enough. The second ruler is both strong and flexible. You see, it can kick the paper ball harder than the first ruler.
Now you understand that the first soccer shooting drills session you have to do is to train your foot in order to be stronger and flexible. In order to have flexible foot, you can familiarize kicking the ball.
2. Proper Kicking Movement
Your leg must properly swing so your foot can hit the ball accurately then the ball move as you imagine in your mind. The correct swing leg is as you see at the picture below. The heel should be facing the backside of your body. Put the energy in your foot, and then transfer it to the ball when your foot hit the ball. The leg swing in soccer shooting is different than in soccer passing. The power is more considered in soccer shooting drills although this is not guarantee of the occurrence of the goal.

3. A Pair of Proper Soccer Shoes
Soccer shoes that fit to your foot can boost your performance. Choose shoes that are not too big and not too small. The shoes should be lightweight, so you feel like never wear any shoes when running, jumping, passing, and certainly when shooting. Choose your proper soccer shoes.
