Excellent introductory book,
I’d urge this as a excellent introductory book for new coaches, particularly anyone who has not played the game and is looking for help on teaching technique. It’s a nice, concise introduction to coaching essential soccer techniques. I like how it covers some key technical points, especially on 1v1 attacking that is rarely spelled out in other books.
This book doesn’t cover tactics, formations or strategy so you’ll need to look somewhere else. But that’s what I like about it: its singular focus on one subject – technique, the foundation of soccer.
